LightEnergy project’s researchers were received by UVa chancellor

Last week, University of Valladolid’s Chancellor, Daniel Miguel San José, welcomed the members of LightEnergy project. This project has been recently awarded with the Model2Market award (10,000 €). The project, development by a team constituted by 4 members of our research group, was selected from among 463 projects from 12 different Ibero-American countries.

LightEnergy has been awarded previously. LightEnergy was developed from the results obtained in our group in relation with hydrogen storage whose main researcher is Ángel Martín Martínez. The Business Plan started its course with Vivero Award (12,000€) organized by Junta de Castillla y León. This award amount would being used to create a prototype. After it the business plan was improved inside YUZZ program, organized by the International Center of Entrepreneurship of Santander. In this program, LightEnergy project was also selected as the best of Valladolid. This award is going to allow to one of the members of the team to visit some of the most important companies in Silicon Valley.

Celedonio Álvarez, main responsible of innovation and Pedro Ignacio Ruiz de la Loma, responsible of the creation of new companies in our University, were also present in the meeting.
